Honoree: Jess Diaz
Honored by: Huntington Beach Police Department
Cause Area: Law Enforcement & Public Safety
Some of the words used to describe Jess are: hard-working, knowledgeable, and loyal. Jess joined the RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) in 2012 and has been instrumental in encouraging other people to get involved during this time. Jess has been an inspiration to a lot of his fellow RSVP’s. He is a real team player, a good instructor, patient and an outstanding volunteer. He typically puts in more yearly hours volunteering for a myriad of assignments with the RSVP’s and HB Neighborhood Watch Program (of which he was elected President) than most of his peers. He truly loves helping people in the community while having a smile on his face. He is fair, honest, courteous, and really cares about the work the RSVP’s are doing on behalf of the Huntington Beach Police Department and this community. Jess has a positive and cheery disposition. “He is a great example of what is right with the RSVP group. I have never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. He goes about his work and is a role model for us all.” The Huntington Beach Police Department is proud to have Jess Diaz volunteer in our RSVP program and thank him for his leadership, commitment and service.
