Honoree: Margie Kim

Honored by: Irvine Ranch Conservancy

Cause Area: Animals & Environment

Margie has been a hardworking and enthusiastic Irvine Ranch Conservancy volunteer since 2014. She has accumulated a record number of volunteer hours during this time, and has been known to apologize for not being able to volunteer in two places at once. Margie regularly supports Native Seed Farm activities, special stewardship projects, community stewardship youth activities, and any program that needs support at the last minute. From hikes to stewardship activities, Margie can be called on to support nearly any program offered to the public. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she has an uncanny skill for sniffing out new volunteer recruits and leading them to the all the adventures that await them on the Landmarks.

    • It’s not hard to be captured by a positive, calm, and determined attitude when working alongside individuals who love the land – the Landmarks or City of Newport Beach land – such as you. Thank you for demonstrating, in word and action, the deep appreciation for the land and persons we get to work alongside on Quail Hill, or Big Canyon and Buck Gully!

  16. I am always so excited to see you hame on events that I volunteer on…your smile is contagious and you are such a sweetie (and no, it has nothing to do with the amazing honey you bring for sampling… đŸ™‚ )

    • Thank you for your thoughts! Have purchased a few honey jars from out of the USA to see if they can be offered in the future for sampling. For now, I’m sticking with our hard working local bees honey to keep the focus on our Native Seed Farm and the honey collected from such local flowers.
