Phillip Zweifel is a recent law school graduate who spends dozens of hours each week at the Veterans Legal Institute. Phillip spends time contacting clients and researching legal issues. He is instrumental in working with clients and presenting to his supervisors in regards to which cases to take and the plan of action to resolve the cases. Phillip grew up in Orange County and joined the Army in October 1987, attending basic training in Fort Benning, Georgia. He was stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany, as an Infantry Specialist. In 1991 he was deployed to Saudi Arabia as part of Operation Desert Storm, and returned to Germany after hostilities. He is the recipient of the Army Achievement Medal (twice) and the Desert Storm Campaign Ribbon. Upon his return to California, he enrolled at Westwood College where he had a 3.99 GPA, an honors student and on the Dean’s List. He majored in Criminal Justice. He was the class valedictorian and was selected for membership in Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society. Phillip later graduated from Trinity Law School with his juris doctor. As a disabled veteran, Phil understands the issues facing veterans and has a passion to help them. Phillip uses the skills and tools he developed in law school to help low income and homeless veterans at the Veterans Legal Institute.
