The Tiger Woods Learning Center (TWLC) delivers unique experiences and innovative educational opportunities to youth. Our volunteers help us come closer to fulfilling our mission. We would like to honor Betsy Peña for her dedication and commitment of time to our programs. Betsy became a TWLC volunteer in 2014 and was a college mentor for Project CAMP. She served as a valuable resource and positive role model for high school students while providing them with informative workshops throughout the academic school year. She greatly enjoyed her experience as a mentor and decided to continue volunteering once the program concluded. In addition to being a full time student at UC Irvine, Betsy is a Student Coordinator for the Early Academic Outreach Program and still manages to give back to the community. At the TWLC, Betsy currently assists with COP and CEP programs and lends a helping hand with clerical work. We greatly appreciate Betsy’s dedication and commitment of time to our programs. She is truly making a difference! The Tiger Woods Learning Center proudly commends Betsy on her recognition at the 2016 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards.

Betsy, thank you SO MUCH for all that you do for the TWLC. We truly appreciate you and the students love you. You always help any staff members with any tasks. From stapling COP journals to helping with the front desk. And a big “thank you” for volunteering for the Saturday Programs. Mr. G and I would be lost without you on Saturdays!
