Illumination Foundation would be honored to nominate Theresa Helsper for the Spirit of Volunteerism Award. Theresa has been one of our leading property managers for the last year. Theresa has continuously gone out of her way to meet the needs of our clients moving to permanent housing. She has helped Illumination Foundation be able to house and keep housed chronically homeless individuals, provided furniture to new tenants when possible, helping tenants to navigate the turning on of utilities etc. Theresa continuously works with new tenants to help them build life skills and positive habits of apartment living. She is patient, kind and very empathetic while interacting with IF clients. Theresa is a very special volunteer who shows compassion towards those living in transition. We are so grateful for all that Theresa has done for IF and the clients and families that we serve. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Theresa.

Well deserved!! Theresa always goes out of her way to help others, often putting their needs before hers. She is the most selfless woman I have ever met and her compassion for others truly exhibits true Christian love, taking care of the less fortunate and accepting all with an open heart. We need more Theresa’s in this world!!

Theresa is most definitely the most amazing person I have ever known. Thru the years I have known her no matter what or how she felt she was baking cookies…cakes…etc. for school children and everyone she knew. She is very artistic. Love you T.
